The ideal soil temperature for germination is 70 - 72 degrees Fahrenheit, and the seeds require dark conditions. Germination typically takes 3 - 5 days. During the grow-on phase, the ideal day temperature is 65 - 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and the night temperature should be 55 - 60 degrees Fahrenheit. The indoor growth period is 12 - 14 weeks, and the plants will spread 6 - 8 inches and reach a height of 8-10 inches. The New Day gazania is an annual plant.
